session details, tips, and answers
Now that your session date is confirmed (YAY!), you can start planning for it now! This means you decide on a desired color scheme and plan coordinated outfits. When your outfits match, your photos will feel more cohesive.
Session day can be stressful and exciting, but I promise there is nothing to be nervous about! All I ask is that you come as relaxed as possible, stay open-minded, and trust that I will take care of the rest!
Once I have carefully curated your finished photos, I will place them inside your personal gallery and send you a direct link. From there, you can favorite, download, purchase and share your keepsake photos.

You've made it to session day! As you approach your session, keep in mind these 2 things:
03.
I do edit each photo in my signature style... This includes global adjustments for color correction, exposure, and style... This does not include traditional 'retouching' which is done in photoshop. Complementary retouching is offered on your 10 favorites. Additional retouching can be added on for $10/photo if you would like it.
06. Do you edit every photo?
05. What's your availability for portrait sessions?
Some of my portrait sessions include 10 digital files... Your full gallery will contain a lot more than 10 photos. On average, for a 30-minute session there will be a minimum of 40 photos and a 60-minute session will have a minimum of 80 photos. You get to pick your 10 favorite photos to download as high-resolution files and have the rights to print and share as you'd like. This is great for those sessions when you just need a few updated photos but want to stay within a tighter budget. You'll have the option to buy more of the photos if you want, but there is no obligation.
04. What does "10 digital files" included mean?
Hey, it happens! I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve and can often make it work, but if they just aren't having it, then we'll just reschedule (at no cost to you) for another time that's convenient for both of us. In other words: no matter what, we are going to work together to capture your kiddos.
03. What happens if my kiddo is having a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day?
If it’s looking like it may be raining, snowing, or other inclement weather, I’ll be in touch the day before.
If it's going to be under 50 degrees, I'll ask to reschedule outdoor sessions. Red noses, splotchy cheeks & teary eyes just aren't a good look and nearly impossible to edit out.
02. What if the weather is looking bad?
If in doubt, book 30-minutes - we can create a lot in that time! I don't book sessions back to back, so if you decide that you really want to keep going, we can upgrade you for the additional cost - not a problem!
01. What if I don't know if I need 30 or 60 minutes?
Have a question? I've got an answer! And if you don't see your question here, please reach out via email: inspired@photographybyerinleigh.com.
